Therefore when using any 3M surgical mask you can be sure of a high level of Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE), excellent breathability and splash resistance (Type IIR.)

  • Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686
  • All 3M™ 1800 Series Respirators are certified under the Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686. In addition the unvalved respirators are certified under the Medical Devices Directive and are suitable for use as Type IIR surgical masks.

  • European Standard EN149
  • All 3M respirators are tested and approved to the relevant European Standard, EN149. The respirators are classified as FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 depending upon their efficiency at filtering particulates and their maximum 'inward leakage'.
